- This auditor began his career in 1999 with the Ministry of Finance at the North York Regional Tax Office in the Retail Sales Tax Branch. Over the next 7 plus years, he steadily progressed rising to a Senior Tax Auditor prior to leaving the Ministry in 2006. Prior to joining the Ministry of Finance, he worked in public accounting as a Senior Professional Staff member for five years with a Toronto firm.
- This auditor joined the Ministry of Finance in 1985 as a tax auditor with the Retail Sales Tax Branch. In 1987 she accepted a position as an appeals officer with the Tax Appeals Branch. During her twelve years in TAB, she held progressively responsible positions focusing on objections and appeals filed in accordance with the RSTA and EHTA. This auditor obtained her CGA designation in 1988 and completed CICA In-depth Tax Course, Part I, in May 1992. She returned to the Retail Sales Tax Branch in 1999 as an Audit Manager - Refund Unit. In January 2000, she was transferred to audit as a Group Manager, Audit overseeing a group of auditors.
- During this auditor's 10 years with the Retail Sales Tax Branch of the Ontario government, he held positions of Sales Tax Advisor and Tax Appeals Officer with the Objections Review, Tax Appeals Branch.

- The auditor joined the Ministry of Finance in 1986. During her 15 years with the Ministry of Finance she held positions in both the Retail Sales Tax Branch and the Tax Appeals Branch. She began her career working as an auditor with the Retail Sales Tax Branch. In 1989 she joined the Tax Appeals Branch where she was responsible for the review of audit assessments and refund disallowances issued under the Retail Sales Tax Act and the Employer Health Tax Act. This auditor returned to the Retail Sales Tax Branch in 2000 where she managed the audit group that was responsible for the processing of refunds filed under the Retail Sales Tax Act. She obtained her CGA in 1989.

She worked for 20 years with multi-national accounting firms specializing in sales tax and property tax. She has conducted numerous client seminars and more recently seminars on the implementation of the HST. She has been a Sales Tax Consultant for over 23 years and is a Certified Management Accountant and an MBA.
- Prior to becoming one of the founders of HMT, this auditor was a sales tax specialist and an auditor for the Ontario Retail Sales Tax Branch for 14 years. He also has numerous years of accounting experience in manufacturing and industry.
- After 3 years with a public accounting firm, the auditor joined Revenue Canada, Excise, in 1984 where he remained for 13 years. He was promoted to Senior Tax Auditor in 1987.
- This auditor has over three years with the Federal Government, auditing G.I.S. claims, plus seven years with the Ontario Ministry of Finance. His 10 years of government experience includes 7 years as an auditor with the Corporations Tax Branch of the Ministry of Finance. He has also had wide accounting and finance experience with positions in the resource and manufacturing private sector.
- This auditor worked for the Ministry of Finance for 30 years. He has held numerous positions with MOF in Audit, Collections, Client Services, and Policy Development. His last position was Regional Manager in the Ottawa Regional Tax Office in charge of Collections, Retail Sales Tax Legislative enquiries, and Employer Health Tax Legislative enquiries, educational audit program and various outreach programs. In addition, he has worked and lived in many areas of the province and has a good knowledge of most business sectors. During the course of his earlier career with the government, this auditor was involved in many joint initiatives with CCRA and other government jurisdictions.
- This auditor has over 21 years experience working with retail sales tax within the Ontario Ministry of Finance. In 1980, he joined the Ministry as a Tax Auditor in the Retail Sales Tax Branch and held various progressively responsible positions within audit, including Senior Tax Auditor, Group Leader and Manager of Head Office Audit Control. He received his Certified General Accountant’s designation in 1985. He has experience in conducting audits in businesses of all types and sizes. During this time he has also gained 10 years experience as an Appeals Officer within the Tax Appeals Branch where he was responsible for reviewing Notices of Objection filed on the most complex issues associated with RST audit assessments and refund disallowances.
- Seven (7) years with the Ministry of Finance as Senior Tax Auditor and Senior Refund Auditor followed this auditor's extensive career in business and industry. His background includes apparel, automotive, retail, manufacturing and service industry experience.
- After working for 5 years for a major corporation, this auditor joined the Ministry of Finance for 10 years. During that time, he progressed to Senior Field Auditor with the Retail Sales Tax Branch. He has been active in numerous committees for the Certified General Accountants Association, as well as being a lecturer and marker for the Association.
- In addition to 15 years as Supervisor, Sales Taxes for a major corporation, this auditor has 5 years of experience with the Retail Sales Tax Branch of the Ministry of Revenue. He held the position of Senior Tax Auditor Group Leader, responsible for selecting businesses for audit and supervising auditors.
- This auditor has had a career in the private sector holding assorted financial positions. While with Sears Canada in Toronto, she held positions in Accounting, Accounts Payable and Internal Audit. Advancing with each assignment, audit assignments included financial, inventory control, purchasing and real estate. She then spent six years with a well known world wide business assurance transaction firm.
She started as a real estate auditor and moved to auditing accounts payable. She managed audit teams and in 1998 became a Regional Manager for Accounts Payable Audits - Central Canada, as well as having national responsibility for Real Estate Audits. In 1999 she was promoted to District Manager - Central Canada, and was responsible for overall client accounts and the management of operations.
She has a B.A. from McMaster University.
- This auditor was with the Ontario Ministry of Finance, Retail Sales Tax Branch, from 1982-1992, where he advanced to the position of Senior Tax Auditor. He then assumed a management position in the transportation industry where his responsibility included Commodity Tax compliance.

He served his community by being the Director of Finance with a reputable charitable organization for long term care centres. He was able to save the organization over $2 million in sales taxes.
