Specialists Our local duties specialist spent over 31 years with Revenue Canada, Customs in a variety of roles. He started with the Department as Dominion Customs Appraiser, and was subsequently posted to London, England as the Canadian Customs Attache. Upon his return to Canada, he served as the Director of the Customs Tariff Division, followed by assignments as Deputy Director General, Tariff Programs (Valuation) and Director General of Program Change. In July 1985, his career took him to New Zealand on an interchange assignment with New Zealand Customs, where he was a member of the project team responsible for implementing the New Zealand GST. In 1987, following his return to Canada, he served as the Director of Licensing, before becoming the Regional Collector and interim Director of the Northern Ontario Region, Customs Border Services, a position he held for the balance of his career with the Department. This specialist holds Bachelor of Arts and Commerce degrees from the University of Saskatchewan.
